These terms govern your use of the Silk Web Solutions website and the services that link to them, including DNS management and GameCore.
1. Operator and scope
Silk Web Solutions is independently operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom. Contact Support@silk-websolutions.eu for support or questions about these terms.
Message Scheduler has separate terms for its Discord bot and dashboard. Service-specific order details or agreements may add to these terms where clearly provided. An additional service will identify the terms and privacy information that apply to it.
2. Using the services
By choosing to create an account or use a service after these terms are made available, you agree to the applicable terms. If you disagree, do not start or continue using that service. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled; agreement to these terms is not consent to every possible use of personal information.
You must meet any applicable age requirement, be authorised to act for an organisation if you use its account, and obtain parental or guardian permission where legally required. Connected platforms have their own age requirements and terms.
3. Accounts and permissions
Give accurate information where requested, protect passwords and tokens, and use only the access assigned to you. You are responsible for actions you authorise through your account and for promptly reporting suspected compromise. We may verify ownership before providing account recovery or changing sensitive settings.
Access may be restricted to domains, servers or features assigned by an administrator. Having an account does not give permission to manage another person’s resources or override a platform’s restrictions.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the services to:
- Break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, or publish content you are not authorised to use.
- Harass people, send spam, spread malware, host phishing content or facilitate abuse.
- Access other accounts or infrastructure without permission, bypass security or usage limits, or interfere with service operation.
- Expose someone’s private information without an appropriate basis or use a service to collect information unrelated to its intended function.
- Misrepresent your identity or your right to administer a domain, game server or connected account.
Authorised security testing requires prior agreement about its scope. Respect connected platforms’ policies and reasonable limits communicated for a service.
5. DNS responsibilities
Manage only domains you own or are authorised to administer. Check record values, mail settings, registrar delegation and any DNSSEC requirements before publishing changes. DNS records are public and may be cached by other providers.
An incorrect record, an expired domain, a delegation mistake or a stale DNSSEC configuration can interrupt websites or email. Keep a copy of important settings and allow for DNS propagation. Publication in our system does not guarantee that every resolver has immediately received the change.
6. GameCore and managed content
You are responsible for the game-server settings, files, software, licences and content you choose to deploy. Follow the relevant game publishers’ and connected services’ requirements. Maintain your own backup of important content unless a separate agreement expressly provides otherwise.
Permissions govern access to assigned servers and features. We may restrict an unsafe deployment or activity that threatens other users or infrastructure.
7. Your content and our software
You retain rights in content you submit. You grant only the permission needed to host, process, replicate and display that content to provide the features you request, including publishing DNS data or sharing content with recipients you select. You must have the rights and permissions needed to provide it.
Our branding, interfaces and software remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable licences. These terms do not remove rights granted by an open-source licence or by law.
8. Availability and external services
Services may be interrupted for maintenance, faults, security work or circumstances outside our control. Features relying on Discord, game platforms, registrars or other providers depend on their availability and permissions.
There is no guaranteed uptime, response time or recovery time unless a separate written agreement states one. This does not exclude any standard of care or remedy required by law. Services may change, and material changes affecting an existing arrangement will be communicated appropriately.
9. Any paid service
If a paid service is offered, its price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and applicable refund terms must be provided before you purchase it. These general terms do not create a charge or subscription by themselves. Your mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable cancellation and refund rights, remain in place.
10. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using a service and request account closure through Support@silk-websolutions.eu. Before ending DNS or hosting service, arrange any necessary migration so dependent services can continue.
We may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, unauthorised access, security risks or legal requirements. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond. Immediate action may be necessary to prevent harm.
Ending access does not automatically remove public DNS copies, content already shared elsewhere or information that must lawfully be retained. The Privacy Policy describes deletion and retention.
11. Responsibility and disputes
You are responsible for your own unlawful conduct and the changes or content you authorise. We remain responsible for obligations imposed on us by applicable law. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes mandatory consumer protections.
For a dispute, contact Support@silk-websolutions.eu with the service and issue involved so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or prevent you from using a court or regulator available under applicable law.
12. Changes to these terms
The date above identifies this version. We will give appropriate notice of material changes affecting existing users. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If you disagree with a material change, you may stop using the affected service, subject to any existing agreement and mandatory rights.
